Internal Account Unification
Application goals
A single point of access for all WDC products. To keep users connected to devices and services, securely manage their content, and enjoy their memories under a unified experience.
Project skillset details
- Started from ideation and gaining budget and exec approval. Created roadmap and worked with engineers and designers to define the vision and product strategy of application.
- Worked with Amazon web-services API and engineering to create secure backend infrastructure for application
- Created PRD with sign off from Director of engineering and Director of Product
- Conducted user testing to test product-market fit
- Met weekly with cross functionality team including engineering, design, marketing, branding, and support.

App Convergence
Goals
Converging WD applications to save resources via engineering time, maintenance, and design
Project skillset details
- Created a cross reference document listing over 5 application features.
- Conducted all day workshops with all Product Managers, Designers and Directors to determine feature common feature sets and gather analytics for applications
- Worked with Head of Design to determine feature capability of a shell app that can replace similar applications
- Worked with Head of Design to present findings and recommendation for shell app to execs
- Completed competitive analysis for applications which were being replaced
- Met biweekly with legal to determine process of end of life for application
Project Focus Completed
Create an application for WD that held similar features and EOLing applications that were similar in order to build a one unified app experience for WD users for both mobile and desktop.
Design System
Goals
Creating a company wide design system to save engineering and design time and effort.
Project skillset details
- Creating a competitive analysis of a design system
- Ran biweekly meetings with design, engineering, marketing, legal, executive team, stakeholders to incorporate feedback of design system
- Created a customer backlog and a process to work on highest priority design components
- Analyzed websites where design system could be hosted and used internally
- Led the process of design for each component from component briefs, epics, user stories, testing and research, implementation, and user testing
- After creation of components, collected stakeholder feedback and worked with design and engineering to incorporate components within apps

Created a style guide hosted on a website that helps serve different applications throughout the company thus not having to reinvent the wheel each time, saving design and engineering time and resources.
User Research
Goals
Conduct and oversee user testing throughout the business unit
Project skillset details
- Recruited, testing and summarized findings for first external user testing of over 50 participants.
- Recruited, tested and summarized findings of over 20 participants to determine feature set of a new Upthere hardware application.
- Set up and ran user testings on usertesting.com for different applications, including A/B testing
- Created a powerpoint template for designers to showcase user testings results
- Organized and built a company wide directory of user testing in aHa to be seen and used by cross functional departments

Goals
Lead agile method sprints for design team company wide
Project skillset details
- Worked with head of design to create a backlog of over 20 applications that resulted in over 100 tasks, which I went through to determine priority
- Solely created a sprint process to allow designers to focus on biweekly tasks
- Worked across board with all of business units product managers, directors and interaction designers to determine priority and tasks for each designer
- Successfully led biweekly sprint commits, sprint hand offs and retrospectives
- Trained all new employees for product management and design on sprint process
